Influenced by bands such as Testament, Cannibal Corpse,
Pantera, Death, and Suffocation, Sarcosis was formed in the summer of 1994. Originally known as Infest, the Tulsa-based death
metal act quickly gained a local following. After playing their first major club gig, the band began headlining shows within
a matter of days. During the course of about 3 years their lead guitarist left the band and they went through 3 bass players.
The only original members, Matt (guitar/vocals) and Aaron (drums) kept it alive until the spring of 1997. Shortly after releasing
their 3 song studio recording entitled "Abstract Horror," Sarcosis became just a memory.....or did it?
Due out January
1, 2002 is the first Sarcosis release in 5 years! It includes tracks from "Abstract Horror" and several previously unreleased
demo and live tracks.
